Hostel Project
CHIMNEY FOR LOCAL PEOPLE
In the mountain region people use open wood fires to cook food and to use as a heater but without chimney. Smoke from wood fires contains gases and particles that can reduce indoor and outdoor air quality, and potentially affect people’s health. Wood smoke is generated from open fires therefore we have installed sample stove
and chimney to reduce wood smoke, even it consumes less wood and good enough for heat because the body of the stove is metal so it work all fine.
Our aim is to motivate and help local people to use modernized stove with chimney.
on 3rd April 2017, 115 Chimney distributed in Solukhumbu and Okhaldhunga district, Nepal.
New Chimney ready for distribution on 3rd April, 2017
